Travel Tip #2

Las Vegas Hotel Review Travel Tip #2: Parking

If you rent a car in Las Vegas, valet park, do not self-park. The parking is free, but tip the valet $2-$5, and you will save a lot of time and long-distance walking.

In Las Vegas, the most popular tourist activity after casinos is hotel-hopping. All the major Las Vegas hotels have parking garages. However, the hotels are soooo huge that typically there is a looong walk from the free parking to the casino or attractions in the hotel. After 1 or 2 of these long walks most people are ready for a nap and no more dancing.

The alternative is valet parking. Most of the hotels have this down to a highly efficient art. Typically drop your car at the valet, at or near the front entrance. Then when you are done, go back with your claim check, and your car appears usually in under 5 minutes. Tip the valet parker, and are on your way without being worn out unnecessarily. Save your energy for dancing, gaming, eating and the shows!
